Anti-fatigue lenses: Relieve eye fatigue

Principle of Anti-fatigue Lenses:
By adding a small diopter (usually +0.25 to +1.00D) below the lens, the eye's accommodation burden when looking at close objects is reduced, thereby relieving eye muscle tension and alleviating visual fatigue.

Main Functions of Anti-fatigue Lenses:
① Relieve Eye Fatigue
This is primary function. The additional diopter below the lens reduces the amount of accommodation required for close-up work, reducing the strain on the ciliary muscles and ease
 eye muscle tension and fatigue.
② Improve Visual Comfort
Reducing the amount of accommodation required makes it easier to focus,make visual better clarity and comfortable, especially during prolonged close-up use.


③ Preventing the worsening of vision problems
For some individuals with early-stage presbyopia or those who spend extended periods of time working at close range, anti-fatigue lenses play a preventative role, delaying the progression of presbyopia and reducing vision problems caused by overuse. 
④ Some models have a blue light filter function
Some anti-fatigue lenses also filter blue light from digital devices, further reducing eye irritation from screens and benefiting those who use electronic products for extended periods.

Students: Those with high academic pressure who require prolonged close-up eye study.
Office Workers: Those who spend extended periods working on computers and are prone to eye fatigue.
Early Presbyopia Patients: In the early stages of presbyopia, anti-fatigue lenses can alleviate symptoms and delay the need for reading glasses.


First-time wearers should limit daily use to less than four hours for the first week and avoid wearing them while walking or exercising. Six-monthly review is recommended to monitor changes in accommodation and adjust lens specifications accordingly.It is important to note that anti-fatigue lenses are not suitable for everyone, especially children, the elderly, and those with high myopia, astigmatism, or anisometropia. Selection should be made under the guidance of a professional optometrist.
